Acoustic Piano or Digital Piano
- Some pianos have more black and white keys (notes) than others.
- Acoustic and digital pianos may have 76 or 88 keys in total – that is, adding up all the black and white keys.
- A standard size piano has 88 keys
- Most electronic keyboards have 61 keys (which is most common), but some models may have even less.
- Electronic organs usually have two keyboards and foot pedals.
- Most organ models have only 44 keys per keyboard but some models may have more than 44 keys.
A more advanced student is likely to require 88 keys if they are playing advanced classical, jazz or other styles.
