- For every movement of one white note to the right of D, we use the next letter of the alphabet, thus going “up” the keyboard.
- If we need to work out the letters to the left of D, then we have to work backwards in the musical alphabet, thus going “down” the keyboard.
- Remember, the letter that comes before A, is G.
