- Skipping a note is to start on one white note and “skip” over the next white note, thus landing on the following white note.
- A note moving from a line to the next line means we have “skipped” over the space note.
- A note moving from a space to the next space means we have “skipped” over the line note.
- Skips can ascend (go “up” along the keyboard) OR descend (go “down” along the keyboard).
- A skip is the same as a “3rd” (interval).
