Space Notes and Line Notes
Space Notes- Space notes fit between the lines of the music staff.
- On the staff below there are 4 space notes starting from the 1st space and ascending (going up) to the 4th space.
- The highest sounding note in this diagram is the last note in the 4th space because it is at the top.
Line Notes
- Line notes are notes “on” the lines.
- On the staff below there are 5 line notes starting from the 5th line and descending (going down) to the 1st line.
- The lowest sounding note shown in the diagram below is the last note on Line 1 because it is at the bottom.
